Hug Me

Materials: Arduino, NeoPixel ring, Pressure sensors

Hug me is a data souvenir. This project is about remembering hugs, the nurturing position of comfort, compassion, companion and happiness that can express more than words.

A programmed jumper captures hugging events and visualises them on a NeoPixel ring attached on the sleeve. One LED of the ring lights up when a hug happens. Colours and brightness depend on the type of a hug and how hard the hug is.

This small project was hoped to help us notice and relive our interactions with others, those subtleties of life.
